Welcome aboard catalunya, proudly based in sunny, beautiful Barcelona – where the sun shines, the sangria flows, the tapas and tapes are endless, and our vintage Boeing 717s and 737s are still heroically proving that age is just a maintenance suggestion.

⚠️ Important operational update:

Barcelona is currently being strategically neglected. This is, of course, temporary. We are strategically pulling back, saving fuel, counting coins under couch cushions, and preparing to return shortly with twice the capacity, twice the attitude, and significantly more scheduling errors.

🆕 Fleet modernization (allegedly):

The Boeing 737-800s are officially gone. Yes, really. Don’t ask where they went. Our attention now turns to the Boeing 717-200, which is scheduled to be “gently retired” as soon as we stop emotionally bonding with it.
They will be also proudly replaced by factory-new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. Yes, brand new. Still has that fresh-plastic smell. More efficient, more modern, more buttons we don’t fully understand yet — but we’re very excited. Training manuals are being printed as we speak.

Next up: our Boeing 737-700 fleet will receive brand-new cabins, including surprisingly stylish interiors and ridiculously good Business Class seats — because nothing confuses passengers more than a luxury seat on a budget airline.

And yes, we are now proudly the largest operator of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in Europe, a fact we mention frequently, loudly, and regardless of context.
